The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work offers a wide range of flexible part-time and full-time Continuing Professional Development courses and awards for qualified health and social care professionals and others working in areas of health and social care. These include:

  • Undergraduate courses for those wishing to top up to a degree
  • Postgraduate taught courses for those who already have a degree
  • Postgraduate research courses for those who wish to specifically develop their knowledge and skills to undertake practice-focused research

Becoming a nursing or midwifery mentor

Thinking about becoming a mentor or assessor?

The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work provides mentorship modules at undergraduate level 5 and 6 and at postgraduate level 7 for those who already have a degree. There is a range of options for part-time study including elearning; portfolio and face-face. This module will also be of interest to other health professionals who wish to develop their knowledge and skills to support other pre-registration health professionals e.g. speech and language therapists and audiologists.
